我常接到英文email，信末寫著：Please kindly give me a reply （請回覆） 翻譯社
很多人用Kindly 這個字，以為如許更客套，其實是誤會。

kindly並非很虛心 翻譯說法。《朗文高級辭典》kindly 條的注釋是： 「Kindly 意思是請，但常常示意，措辭的人感覺被打攪的時辰用的。」

Longman exam dictionary:Kindly is a word which means please 翻譯公司 but is used by the speaker when he is annoyed (so it is used 'ironically', in a sense)

英語學者John Bremner提到 kindly:"Kindly" is stronger and more formal than "please" and tends to connote the idea of "Do this -- or else" （ Kindly 比 please語氣強，更正式，往往帶「你要如許做─ ─不然」含義）。

kindly 有 please 翻譯意思，兩字沒必要並用； kindly有不惬心味，例如：Kindly turn the radio down while I am working. （我在工作，請你把收音機調小聲一點） 翻譯社這一句的kindly是較強烈 翻譯要求。

要客虛心氣的說「請」，please 比 kindly 簡單而天然 翻譯社
Current English Usage 說 ： Do not use "kindly" in requests where "please" will do （提出要求，可以說please ,就不要說 kindly ）。

Kindly和please不是沒有互用的時候，舉例以下：
（ 1 ） Kindly shut the door（ 請關上門 ） 。
（ 2 ） Would you kindly leave me alone （ 請不要打攪我）  翻譯社

第一句 翻譯kindly可用please庖代 ， 第二句的 kindly 則有不滿寄義，不宜改 為 please 。
